Welcome to Central Ohio Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Services, one of the most respected pediatric endocrine programs in Ohio.

This web site is designed to provide you with the information you need to navigate through your questions. We are proud of the success we have achieved and want to share with you our mission, goals, and our approach to patient care. Office Hours: Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternative hours are available for special situations when it is necessary to see patients outside of regular office hours. Saturday and Sunday morning appointments are available for emergency care as needed. One of our medical staff is always on call for after-hours emergencies.
Location: COPEDS is located in north Columbus near the intersection of 270 and North High Street (SR 23N). Located 1 mile north of Columbus’ outerbelt (I-270), families traveling from interstates 315, 71, or 270 can expect easy access to our office complex.

Hospitalization: If you require inpatient care, you will be hospitalized at either Children’s or St. Ann’s Hospital. During your stay, all aspects of your care will be directed by Dr. Zipf. Hospital medical residents and fellows will carry out the plan of care along with the staff nurses and medical students. The residents/fellows will maintain close contact with Dr. Zipf so that he is well-informed of your medical condition.
Parking: Parking is provided free in the lot in front of our building. The entrance is from Dilmont Drive. Coming soon are parking spaces reserved exclusively for our patients. Handicapped parking is provided right next to the building.
Practice Goals: Acute and chronic conditions affecting the growth and development of children and adolescents can have major effects on the health of both the body and the mind. We at COPEDS strive to provide a comprehensive assessment and treatment plan incorporating this concept, with the following goals guiding us:

  • Have as complete a picture as possible of the medical, social, and developmental background of our patients.
